Tillya Tepe

Dates and context
Several coins dated as much as the early 1st century CE, with none dated later, recommend a 1st century CE date for the burial. The burial could correspond to Scythian or Parthian tribes dwelling within the region, or might correspond towards the extinction with the nearby Yuezhi royal dynasty following the conquests of all of the other xihou or 'princes' in Daxia by Kujula Kadphises. (See Pre-Islamic period of Afghanistan.)
Crown. Tomb VI (female owner).
A silver coin was discovered from the reigns with the Parthian king Mithridates II, who ruled c. 12388 BCE. The coin was discovered in tomb III, and was apparently held within the hand with the defunct lady.
An imitation gold coin of Parthian King Gotarzes I (95-90 BCE) was discovered within the left hand with the defunct lady in tomb six. The truth that this coin is in gold, and not silver or bronze as is generally the situation for Parthian coinage, recommend that this imitation was created for prestige purposes. The coin is counterstamped using the frontal depiction of what may have already been a nearby chieftain. The counterstamp was additional so as to not harm the portrait with the Parthian king, maybe indicating some degree of dependency around the Parthians.
A gold coin was also discovered in tomb III displaying the bust in profile with the wreath-crowned Roman Emperor Tiberius. Around the reverse is an enthroned, sumptuously draped female figure holding a spray and scepter. Coins of this kind had been minted within the city of Lugdunum in Gaul, in between 16 and 21 CE.
The Buddhist gold coin discovered in Tillia tepe. Tomb IV.
